2 Months!

Growing so fast!! Sad day all around, I went back to work after 9 glorious weeks.....and I didn't care for it! It wasn't a bad day, I just would have rather been at home. But shout out to Abby, the best babysitter there is! My Baby Lou was happy when I picked her up, I could tell she had had a great day with Abby! Then we went for her checkup and shots....she looked right at me and made a face that said "Why Mommy?!? That HURTS!" But she was happy again by the time we got to the car. Sweet baby!!

Being Thankful

With Thanksgiving this week lots of people are posting on facebook things they are thankful for, and classrooms of kids will be making hand turkeys and writing about being thankful....thought I'd just write a few things that remind me how blessed I am!

* I'm thankful we have a house and a decent backyard for the doggies to run and play....and stay out of my hair :)

* I'm thankful to not have any student loans between Tim and I...thanks Mom and Dad for planning so far ahead for us!

* I'm thankful to have a job that I enjoy (most of the time) and that I was able to take 9 weeks leave to be with my sweet baby girl

* Speaking of her, I'm actually thankful for the dark circles under my eyes, the new array of stretch marks on my tummy, the shirts that smell like spit-up....because these things all mean that I have carried life, and that I have a beautiful, precious child of God that has been entrusted to me and Tim. We worked, prayed, cried, and waited for a year and half before becoming pregnant, and we finally have her! I know this is a short time compared to some others....MANY couples wait much, much longer, endure more loss, and have a tougher time.....I'm thankful God's timing is always better than mine.

* I'm thankful we have great daycare for Little Sophie Lou

* I'm thankful for Premier Designs, and knowing that in a few short years it will be my full time job along with being a Mommy

* I'm thankful for my sweet husband and the father that he is becoming. He works so hard to be better every day, and I love him.

* I'm so thankful for this happy, chubby, healthy munchkin

Daddy learns what a "blowout" really is!

I should feel a little sympathetic, I should have offered condolences, but all I did was laugh and laugh and laugh.....

So, Tim stayed home today to have one more family day before I go back to work (awww, he rocks). We sat and watched Sophie smile, listened to her talk to us (I don't want to brag, but our advanced 2-month old daughter does say "ahhhh"). After that, Mommy got baby-less Wal-Mart time.

Now, I hate Wal-Mart, but I hate it less when I can get in and get out, so Sophie stayed home with Daddy. I came home 45 minutes later to the tail end of a massive diaper change, a REALLY happy baby, and a yucked out hubby. All he told me was "I had to double bag the diaper, and I used like 10 wipes to clear her; it was up to her arm pits!"

I laughed.....a lot! I don't see a stay-at-home daddy in our future, and I think we are both OK with that :) He is such a super dad, I'm not sure anyone has loved his little girl more than this guy.

Coming to an end

Today starts my last week home with my sweet baby girl. I told her that and this is what she thought about it

I agree :(

Tribute to Tummy Time

Little girl has pretty awesome head control and neck strength, which is impressive because she pretty much hates being on her tummy so far. She would chill out on her back all day if I didn't love her enough to care if she got a flat head from it. Just a small collection of a few rare moments she was pleasant enough for pics......enjoy!

Growing too fast....

Oh my goodness I can not believe I almost have a two-month old sweet baby girl! She used to be so small!

Now she's all fatty thighs and cheeks and I just want to eat her up! She is beyond perfect, I just STARE at her sweet face all day! And the laundry sits...and I don't care! :) Sophie Lou still has all of her wavy brown hair, and recently started smiling. Not little gas smiles, but big take-over-her-face smiles.

Her daddy and I just melt. She's also started cooing and making sounds....sometimes in response to what we say. We have to take her in next Monday for her two-month check-up and.....dun dun DUNNNN....her first shots :( It'll be harder for me than for her I'm sure. Until then I'll just give her extra love and cuddles :)
